"Historisches Spiel (Historical Game) Schwerte e.V." was founded in 2003 as a union of people of different ages, interests and professions, to develop a practice of historical education which basically differs from conventional ways of museum education. Findings of historical science and experimental archaeology are merged into the practice of ancient trades and put into an historical and social context by means of role-playing methods.
